Title: V11 is for sale again
Post by: Rough Edge racing on May 22, 2018, 05:21:30 AM
I looked at this bike about two years ago and mentioned it here....It's been for sale on and off since then....Yes, a salvage title...I looked it over carefully and I believe there is no frame damage and it's as the owner states in the ad....I still think the price is too high for a salvage title bike...3 grand and I would be seriously looking at it..

with out the stock Cafe Sport fairing the headlight looks dorky sticking way out there. It doesn't help that the gauges are missing too.

Yes, but those items don't affect the performance... Up close in personal the bike was well detailed but obviously not the exact same as when it was made....It's a bike you buy to keep ,not sell in a few years.... I have three grand to blow on a bike and I would like another Guzzi to modify..And since the bike is what it is,nothing lost if modified..

My experience is salvage title bikes are worth about 1/2 of what a clean title will go for.

You can get a clean V11 Sport for that much or less if you look hard enough. This one has been for sale for so long that they should just give up or drop the price. If someone gave them $2500 they should take the money and run.

A true Cafe' Sport also has Ohlins suspension front and rear, which this bike does not. Between replacing the front forks and wheel, aftermarket gauges, and a total repaint, I'm betting it suffered much more damage than just "going over a curb", as the seller says.

Ok......Now it's completely out of the picture....I'll continue looking elsewhere......

Gauges could be from the accident (and probably are) but those instruments aren't exactly known for longevity...
