Title: Breva 1100 Torque spec- wheel shaft clamp screws?
Post by: Neil on June 01, 2018, 07:59:00 PM
As the title says, I need the torque numbers for the four allen screws at the bottom of the forks that hold  the wheel shaft (axle) in place. Not listed in my copy of the service manual. Thanks in advance.

They are pinch bolts and hold under even tension.   Snug them evenly by tightening one then the other and back until they both feel uniformly tight.  8-10 pounds/ft is probably good as long as they are the same.  If they are not even they will unscrew.

7 ftlbs max if a 6mm screw. May be the same as 1200 2V Sport or Norge.

I'll go with that.   Heavy torque isn't needed.   Even torque is.

Four?

What bike is this? Most do not have pinch bolts on the axle nut side.
