Title: 2004 EV Touring Seat Rubber Spacer
Post by: Tom H on June 02, 2018, 12:29:32 AM
I'm trying to find the rubber spacer for my EV seat. There are 6 of these spacers, 4 under the driver and 2 at the rear of the seat.

The parts list does not show this part for my bike, or in any of the similar models. The closest I could find in a parts list was for a Nevada and a Norge. Then that gets confusing as each bike lists a different part number. But the Norge list shows it fitting a Nevada as well??

Can someone point me to the correct part number. MG does not show this part, Harpers does, but no picture to confirm the right part.

Thank you,
Tom

Tom,  look in the special fasteners bins and furniture/cabinet  sections of a good hardware store.   They  will have something to fit.

Thanks for that thought. Most spacers I have seen use a screw or bolt. This one uses a spear molded to the spacer that pushes into a hole in the seat.

I would like to find the correct one, but I guess I could glue something in place. I guess I could cut up an inner tube, stack some slices to get the right height and glue them together.

If Harpers has the right one, they are only about 50 cents each. I would also pick up a few other things to help the shipping cost.

Thanks again,
Tom
