Hello. I thought I'd share a link to a 14 minute documentary that my friend made of "The Iwashita Collection", a private collection of motorbikes from around the world, located near a small hot spring town on the island of Kyushu. The video is in English and there are lots of cool bikes shown including his 1963 Ducati Apollo, the only one in the world. Look carefully and you'll see at least one Guzzi too!
Hope some of you enjoy it.

That was great. Interesting to know that the Apollo ended up there.

I'm a great admirer of Japanese technology and manufacturing, but this is maybe the first time I've been encouraged to overcome my dislike of congestion and visit the place. It's a great video.

This is on the Island of Kyushu. About 2.5 hours from Fukuoka City. 30 minutes outside of Fukuoka (which is a very pleasant city and my home since 1990), it's mostly lightly populated countryside. Media tends to show Tokyo and Osaka a lot,,, when in fact most of Japan is rural and an EXCELLENT place to ride a motorbike. Roads are in great shape, empty in the countryside, and cars are respectful to bikers. I can introduce places that rent out bikes if anyone is interested.
BTW - here are photos of a Moto Guzzi & Magni rally that we held on May 25 - not to far from that museum. Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kyushumotoguzzi/

Glad you all liked this video. Lots of work and research went into it. Thank you Nick for sharing our work. If anyone ever gets the chance to visit Japan for a tour, I strongly suggest the Kyushu area where it will exceed all your previous images of what Japan would be like to ride. Thanks all again for watching.
