Title: Dianostic Code in Dash ??

How do you find the Diagnostic Code the dash is asking me for ??

use mode toggle to menu then to diagnostics, enter 36421 to read codes either stored or active

if you have the joystick toggle code should be 28315

36421 worked for my 2008 1200 Sport.

I found in Dashboard under column M there was an X marked in position 05 and 07.  What does this tell me ?

First of all it helps if you tell us which bike you own.

Also do you mean when you turn the bike on it says 'Don't forget to enter your user code' or some other message?
