Post by: twowings on June 26, 2018, 09:48:26 AM
This is a link to a 1957 Laverda Turismo up for auction...no connection or affiliation with seller.  No warranty of any kind is expressed or implied.

I'm not familiar with this auction site. Anyone have any experience to pass on?

Wish I'd had one of these as a kid instead of a Harley 165.

ROFL Huckleberry!

I notice you put that on all of these postings...do you really think that anyone who buys this from the board is expecting you to provide a warranty or that you are selling these as a front man for the seller?  Just out of curiosity, what would you charge for a 4 year / 50K mileage warranty?

Why aim so low? How about like my customers do, with a seventeen year support commitment and spares standing by for air shipment?

I guess the EOL issue has already been taken care of though ...

I see the current high bidder is Tim Parker.  Tim is the former editor of Motorbooks, a noted Laverda enthusiast and now works for Bonhams Motorcycle Auctions.  If he wants it, there is some value there.
