Hi, anyone tried the Guzzi listed accessory gel seat for a v7iii special?
I have a v7 iii special and don’t find it that comfy, someone else has mentioned a Corbin but some say it doesn’t quite fit?
Any other options?

I've ordered the gel seat from my dealer but it's still a couple of weeks away. I'll report back when I've tried it.

www.greatdaytoride. com does a nice job for the price.
Sargent will rebuild it for you. Be warned-gel gets really HOT when left in the sun for a period of time.

I've had one on mine for the 420 miles I've had my Carbon Shine. Where I live in NV every ride is 100 miles or more. So far no complaints plus I like the OEM look of the seat with it's pattern & embroidered Moto Guzzi. Over 100 degrees here & any m/c seat is hot till my seat cools it some.

If you are looking for better comfort, give an Airhawk pad a try. Not as expensive as a seat, and for me using it give tremendous relief from "seat ache."

So I'm on Seat #3 for the MkI.
The stock was a torture rack, a take off from a Cafe Classic was pretty good (not perfect, but much better than stock) and the OEM gel seat I added this past week as not much better than the stock one (ok maybe it's marginally better) - go figure.
Now I've heard good reports on the gel, so maybe it's a YMMV thing.
I know AF1 has some aftermarket seats for the MkI and II's ... maybe they have a decent one for the IIIs too?

It’s a Corbin.

I find the stock V7 III Stone saddle just OK. The contour has a bit of a hump I don't like and the 'notch' between the rider and pillion sections is in the wrong place. I just ordered the V7 Rough saddle from AF-1 which is the ribbed version that appears to be flatter than the Stone - we'll see.
When the Rough saddle arrives that frees up my stock one for modification if replacement doesn't do the trick.
In the meantime I have an AirHawk that does make a huge difference on longer rides or I use a different gel pad I have. AirHawk is great but it still feels a little weird to me as you butt does shift around a little as you ride.

I’ll feedback later.

Try using less air in the Airhawk. Really, use almost zero air. None.

I realize it's an old thread, but how did you like the V7 Rough saddle, compared to the stock V7 Stone saddle? Is one narrower than the other? Is there a gap between the tank and the seat?
