Title: South Dakota random road trip pics
Post by: kballowe on September 14, 2018, 07:42:24 AM: We were supposed to go to the Smoky Mountains, but it was raining raining raining there - so, we went West.

The Cali was in the shop for a warranty fix for a leaky oil cooler - so we loaded up the trusty Yamaha and off we went.
The weather in and around Rapid City was mid 50's in the mornings and around 80 degrees each day. Mostly clear, blue skies.

Near Wall, SD - we saw a boy walking his Dino

We really like those bubbles. They're from "Biltwell"
...and the heavy tint keeps the sun off the face so we don't need sunscreen.

They're chipping away at Crazy Horse with hand tools, one track air chisel, and one bucket truck with a grapple. Two hundred years, I estimate, they've been at it for 70 already. A testament to human commitment...
