It's offered "as is -- no warranty." I checked several others, all of which had a "limited warranty." Seems like a warning flag to me.
It does look beautiful, on the outside.

For all you Griso owners with the stock rear splash guard sill intact I have plans for a DIY fender eliminator made out of some readily available materials. I have produced and sold about 12 or 15 of these over the years and folks really like them.
Since I don't have enough raw material to make more fender eliminators, no intent on stocking to make more up and not more Griso's in my future no I have longer has use for the plans. If I find them I'll scan them and attach them to this post.
I’d be interested; do you have a photo of a finished unit on the bike ?

I'd say it's priced about right. Probably some common problem that needs correction.

I plan on stopping by the dealer on the way back from the Sturbridge rally this Sunday to check it out. Maybe he'll take my LM IV with the funny color on a straight-up trade?? Ya think??

Of all the Guzzi's I've owned, I only had 1 first year Griso. Not sure what a Model II is?

Assuming you're looking at the dealer's ad, I believe that's eleven an "11", probably short for 1100, not a Roman numeral "II". There was no model II of the 1100 Griso.

I took a "scenic" route back from the rally and got caught behind a succession of Sunday Drivers and one big grain-hauler. Made it to the dealer too late.
But I DID talk to a guy named Andy at the rally (he was doing the judging, probably on this site somewheres) who looked at it, and he said it was kind of "scruffy"-looking, and needed fork seals and a valve cover gasket. But he also said it had Staintune exhaust, I suppose that would be evident from the photos.
I just can't wrap my head around how anyone can allow a bike with such graceful lines (except for the toaster) to become "scruffy" at 9k miles.

Yes, that's cheap. And probably a bargain, spend $1k sorting it out and you still only have $4.5 in it!

I saw a red 850 Griso at the Broadford bash with no toaster on the side and it looked really great.
Fix the headers and you'd be in business.

I would. Sure you can ride a heavy, long wheelbase bike like a Griso around town but it's not really it's element. A V7 would be more suitable but in all honesty if you're just zooming around the 'hood I'd take a scooter every time.

Me, too. The Kid and Nora take the scooters a couple of miles into town for beer/grocery runs.. down to the local watering hole for a Friday fish fry, etc. It's pretty easy to just twist and go.. not to mention who cares if the scooter doesn't get warmed up?

Good idea. Since I bought my 250cc Italjet, I've only ridden my Griso once, and that was more or less just to exercise it. It's no around-town bike.

I have a Vespa 250GTS already.Just thought about something a bit larger so I can get out of town and go to the next town :wink:

Well, I have a Griso and love it. Been touring on it, weekend riding and running long distance errands. For getting around town I have a Soviet sidecar rig, Dnepr made in Kiev Ukraine. It takes a little to getting used to but has been easy on maintenance, for me at least, carries a passenger and couple cases of beer at the same time. Doesn't fall over in the snow, used to be my daily ride even at -15F. Not fast at all but plenty of fun esp on the roundabouts.
Griso is a fine machine, not for everyone, but me I like it a lot. No regrets.

There was a Griso in Austin/San Antonio (2007) piced dropped to $2900 early this summer. It took 50 days to sell.
