Title: Griso 8V colors - Red & Orange?

Looking at Grisos, 8V models, in the US.

Did they make a Red and an Orange?  Some dealers call the color Rosso, some say Red, and a few are saying Orange (the ones saying Orange are used bikes at a non Moto Guzzi dealership).

I found an internet reference to "Corsa Red" and "Satin Orange" as two different Griso colors, not sure I trust that info.

I've seen a 2017 Rosso at a dealer (many months back), it was inside, and I recall it clearly being Red.  Then I'm looking at a used 2015 the non Guzzi Dealer is calling "Red", pictures taken outdoors, and it sure looks like a burnt Orange to me.

And the problem is I'm shopping from many hours away just looking at photos the dealerships have taken. 

Maybe the 2015 was a "Satin Orange" and the 2017 is a "Rosso"?

The 2015 and on models were mostly the 'Diavolo Rosso' scheme which is a sort of luminescent red. There were some genuinely 'Orange' Griso's but I think they were only sold in Europe.

So I guess the lighting is such that these are the same color? 

Again, pain is trying to location and buy a bike remote, not like I have a number of red Griso's nearby.   :grin:

They are the same. That's the Diavolo Rosso as Pete says. i have a friend with one, and to my eye it's more of a burnt rust color than 'red'.

Here's a photo of our bikes together, no filter. Proper Guzzi Factory red on the Jackal, and your Rosso on the Griso. Beautiful color, but red?

I guess "burnt rust" doesn't sound so great!   :grin:

But with google translator ... burnt rust color = colore ruggine bruciata

"My Griso is ruggine bruciata" ... that sounds kind of ok.   :laugh:


So, OK, sounds like one "red" color for US models, but looks kind of orange, or burnt orange, or rust color, in certain light.

Mines a 2016 and they call it Rosso, but to me its a more burnt orange color.
