 Going through some old photos and found this one of Freddy in front of the shop at the open house.

That is grand!! After reading all about Freddie and voting for him to get into Hall of Fame back in the day, all the stuff in the MGNOC newsletter, finally made it to the shop in 05 or 06. It was still open and I got a T Shirt. I was 7mi away so I had to visit this famous place.

I saw him ride at the Monson hillclimb a few times. He was in his early nineties then! I believe he was on a Norton.

During the Closing of the shop i ended up wtih alot of items that fred touched over the years.

Soooooo, I have a lot of DNA  of freds maybe we/you can make a second coming of fred.

If anyone is interested Al Marks still has a lot of NOS   Guzzi parts at his house that he wants to move , so if interested l can give his phone # . He lives in West Hartford Ct.

I was a MG guy in the 80's in Connecticut.  I'm embarassed to say I never made it there.  There were little Guzzi shops all over back then.  One a few miles from me and one in Clinton I knew the wrench at.  But Freddy was the man and it's a shame the shop is no longer.  It should be a Piaggio, Aprilia, Guzzi shop today!

1929 and at the 100th party for Indian in 2001, sitting on the bike from the 1929 photo....what are the odds?
