Title: Any unpublished incentives on MGX-21?
Post by: decotriumph on November 06, 2018, 04:38:05 PM
Does anyone have any insider info on incentives that Piaggio may be offering to Guzzi dealers on unsold MGX-21 models? I don't see anything on the website but financing incentives. I'm lookin' for cash. Thanks

Not sure. But if I had the cash for another one, I'd do this one in a heartbeat. Fly/ride.

Or fees.  If I was a buyer I would call and say "if I show up with the asking price, am I riding away with a bike?"

I have had several say yes.  I have done fly and buys, and driven 10 hours to pick up a bike that my local dealers said they would be losing money if they sold it to me for that price.

You definitely need to confirm the out the door price, as there will likely be at least a doc fee. You will also have to pay the tax man when you get it home of course.

There are a few brand new MGX 21 listed for under 15K, which is a huge discount off MSRP, so a used one for a thousand less than that sounds about right. It's always a buyer's market with new Moto Guzzis, unfortunately.

That is the final price. I called and asked about it for a friend. He wanted to go get it himself, but had to back out due to a medical thing. He told me if it's still there in January, he's going after it.

There's a couple more on that site just slightly more expensive than this one too.

Heck, at those prices you could have one shipped and still be WAAAAY ahead on money for what they're worth.

Unfortunately,  what something is worth is determined by the demand.  Honda has the same problem with many of the bikes they bring to market.  They are not worth what they are asking, and $5000 rebates are required to move the remaining units.

Yeah soooo true.  Price high, sit around, steep discounts to move.  If they were only priced a little lower to begin with.  Not to mention the bad taste left to the few that shelled out MSRP.
