I'm starting to dig into one of my winter projects already --- my '74 Eldorado --- I've taken the top end down and will be replacing my original chrome bore cylinders with Gilardoni kits. As well it looks like I'll be doing guides and valves. Amazing how worn the guides are and the plugs were always clean and there was no smoke. But blow by has been getting worse lately.
But I digress; I've found some minimal pitting on two of the cam followers. I see that originals are NLA and MG, (probably others) sell a kit with a later design of follower along with matching push rod and rocker arm.
Is there any alternatives to these rather costly replacement kits?
Is there a possibility of finding good used followers? Or is this a common malady meaning used parts would probably be no better?
Thanks!

Yes, the alternative is to have them refaced. I send mine to Delta Camshaft in Tacoma, WA. I just sent 24 to them today. Very reasonable cost.

Thank you. I was wondering if this was a possibility. I'll check them out.
Or, do you have them done to resell or just for your own use?

I have them done for use in engines I rebuild and for anyone that wants a set. If you don't want to deal with Delta directly, you can get a set from me, I'll need yours in exchange.

Ok great. Dealing with you would be easier for me. Is it best to contact you through your website?

I used Delta. Great turn around time. Might want to upgrade the cambe to a B10? setup. Cam & 4 lifters was in the $150-$180 range. Part of that was Postage.
