Correct. Astore' were 500c with a different frame under the saddle then the stamped one pictured (250cc)

Isn't that strange. I wonder what the paperwork says..

This was covered here recently... 'ino' as a suffix means a little one. So a mini Astore is an Airone.

This early version of the 250cc Airione was referred to as an Astorino, the little brother to the 500cc Astore. This version of the Airione is the same bike I bought this spring. The Astorino has the rear damping shocks like the Astore and not the dog leg friction dampers that showed up on the later Airione and Falcone. The Astorino also has the box section stamped swing arm rather than the tube type used on the latter Airione and Falcone.

I have never heard that the post office had guzzis.... anyway i was not even born so it might be true.
One thing for sure is that it was first registered in VERONA . ( the license plate speak itself ) in 1965 as the seller is stating .

Wow that's stunning, and a great deal to me when I think of Leman 850 or V7 Sport prices...
