Title: UJ Maintenance

Mine is a smallblock Breva, which only has the one.

There's no slack in it Rolf. Have just fitted another second hand gearbox in, and as I was putting the swing-arm back on I just wondered if they should have a bit of grease in them seeing they do have circlips in them.

It's all buttoned up now but if they should be serviced I thought I could do it at the next tire change.

Thanks Rolf. Done them on cars before. You're right, about as much fun as having teeth pulled.

While the bike was apart, I warmed the cardan up in the sun (too hot to touch barehanded) and let it cool in a bath of gear oil. The idea was to draw some lube in by vacuum as it cooled. Dunno if it did but I feel better about it.
