For those of you who tinker with lathe and mill and try to build you own custom tools. I stumbled upon this while searching for a technique. This guy is obviously quite a competent machinist. But, you'd better be wearing a substantial sense of humor to watch his work. Worth your time to go through to the very end.

Um, technical instrument. That would be a CAT-alytic CONVERTER.
PURR-fect shop tool.

After he fed the poor kitty the turnings (you could hear him munching them down) I expected more than just a Purrrrrr-fectly shaped pivot rod in the kitty litter. Like... maybe the kitty morphed into something else?

A mill is one thing that's missing in my workshop.
I don't know how I survived without the lathe, it is just so useful.

that kitty must have a sore butt.
And I don't believe flipping a righthand tap makes it into a left hand tap.
And it was nice to show that the kid was the real genius of the show.
And I can do without the soundtrack that follows after you leave the page.

How right you are, Chuck. You just can't expect to live a full life with privations that serious.
