The "service urgent" warning only appears when tuning the ignition on. It's never comes on when the bike is running normally.
The "service urgent" warning will go away only after turning the ignition off and then on again (may take several times). It may take several cycles to reset.
The bike runs great when no warning is appearing.
Other than this the bike is fantastic.
I read the stored codes and got P0155 and P0611. I was able to clear the P0155 but the P0611 wouldn't clear even when the bike is running well without a "SERVICE URGENT or "SERVICE" message.
Anyone have suggestions on what could be causing this?

I think we went through the PO155 with Dan's bike recently, that's the demand sensor error code I believe.

P0155 is a demand sensor error. Try performing "Handle Relearning" followed by "Throttle Relearning".
P0611 is a "data file full" error. It can only be cleared by PADS, and is not an error with the bike. Ignore it

I messed with this issue for a month and replacing the sensor was the fix. Lucian, a board member, found me a used one in Canada for 150.00 bucks. The installation is fairly easy if you have some mechanical ability and ECU attention must be preformed after the actual install of the sensor, so you have to be able to hook your bike to a laptop and let one of these guys here walk you through the rebooting part. Bottom line replace the sensor as soon as you eliminate the obvious possible issues. Good luck.

Sometimes sensors DO go bad and it's not a fluke. Don't like the price of parts, get aftermarket warranty.

Also if you have the cable and guzzi diag on your laptop, you can check the demand sensor and throttle actuator tracks for abnormalities. Specific track voltage values and testing is well described in the service manual you can download free from link below. Specifically, any of the 8 tracks that won't remain at a constant value with a fixed throttle position. As was the case with Dan's. The demand sensor , or throttle grip position sensor as it is referred to in the manual, is common to some Aprilia's as well as some other brands with RBW.
