I have read where the cruise control was up graded along with the information system on the 16 and newer 1400s. The on off cruise was a pita on my 2014 touring, and I was wondering if the 2016 Eldorado got the new Cruise Control? I sold the Touring because I thought it didn't fit my day to day style of riding, so my Multistrada was the bike for me. I didn't realize how much I had grown to like the Guzzi, I miss my 1400 so looking for another.

I'm 99.9% sure that the 16^ models in the Cali range all have the adaptive cruise control now.

Well, mine is a '16 Eldo and it does not have the newer cruise controls. I have pondered the possibility of changing the switch gear but I suspect it would be more involved than what meets the eye.

I believe 2017 was the year for the change. My buddy's 2017 Cali Touring has the new switch gear and the improved cruise control.

That's what I thought as well, however all of the pics I see of the 16 Eldo, have the same cruise button on right handlebar. Wasn't sure if it worked the same as I have seen the 17s have a different button on the left handgrip I believe

As I said, the '16 Eldo is the OLD cruise control both in appearance and function.

Aren't all Eldo 1400's 2016 models? Is their an Eldorado 1400 later than 2016 in the US?

I cannot say for sure, but not that I'm aware of.
