Or the same thing badged as a Moto Guzzi.
Saw one sell at Harpers in KC a couple years ago.  Forget what it brought.

By coincidence in the current edition of Klassic Motorrad there's a nice 8 page German language article on the origin of the DeTomaso Benellis, and in particular on Paolo Martin who did the styling.  The bikes were mainly manufactured by Moto Guzzi.

More info on Paolo Martins work for DeTomaso and others is available in this Italian/English book

'Real Classics' from the UK profiled the bike in the October 2018 issue

https://www.classicmagazines.co.uk/issue/View/issue/RC174/october-2018

"BENELLI QUATTRO
Most people know about Benelli’s stunning six-cylinder superbikes, but the company also broke ground in the 1980s with this snazzy 250 four"

What a cool little bike! Thanks for sharing, and educating me on these amazing machines. I absolutely love Italian bikes from the 1980's, and this one sure is a little jewell ! :thumb: :thumb:
