FWIW:  Tulsa, Oklahoma's own Andrew Short, riding a Husqvarna for Rockstar Energy Racing, finishes 5th Overall in the Bike category!

After following this year's Dakar...I can finally get to jab at my friend who keep on "lecturing me" with Honda reliability  :evil:...of course now he owns me a beer or 2 heh... :boozing:

Good on the racers....those guys are animals!!
My opinion is that the race better get back to running through towns, crossing the odd water crossing, and getting doors ripped off by some errant branch while running through single track.   It felt as though the racers rode the whole race (or what I watched) in dunes that destroyed engines and swallowed vehicles.  One false move and your Dakar was ruined.
I hate to say BORING,  but I hope the format gets back to its roots.

I agree. Every update and stage started looking alike. Bikes riding over dunes X 10.

Ah...complaints about location again??  I think they would have gone back to Africa if security conditions could be guaranteed...appare ntly not yet.

I just have 2 words for you:   FESH FESH!

How about those monster Russian trucks...quite the piece of machinery!
