So, here's the new (leftover) 2017 V9 that followed me home. Gave it the "once-over" and it's first detail and wax and then parked it next to his new friends. All nice and warm.
It was nice to discover that a battery tender plug was already installed. Also discovered an USB port on the right side of the frame - in front of the gas tank. Hmmmmmm.
And now looking at accessories and pictures and more pictures. Maybe it's just me, but many of the saddle bags look to be mounted quite high. OK, so at the very least, I'm going to need a rear rack. I see that Givi and Hepco Becker each make one.

Wow very nice. This bike is very appealing...I've seen some other 9's that didn't impress...very nice choice.
Nice license plate collection... I may have an old MI plate around if you want it's yours.

Congrats! Must be cheap to put bikes on the road in MO, or do you not have them all registered at once?

Well we're in rural area so sales tax is 0.0685 and then it's about 50 bucks for title and license plate. Where Missouri gets ya is that they charge ya "Personal Property" tax every year. THAT is the expensive part.

They all get you one way or the other. LOL! In TN sales tax is 7.5% and in my county we have a wheel tax so plates are about $100 a year regardless of value. The sales tax is collected every time a vehicle changes hands.

This OEM rear rack and tail bag fit and look great.

The OEM panniers and mounts are pricey and not all that, IMHO. The Hepco Becker C-Bow mounts give you a variety of pannier choices. You do need slightly longer bolts to fit over the Guzzi rack linked above.

That rack looks good, but there's a note that says
**Please note: To install this rack you must also purchase the 2S000737 Driver's Saddle and the 2S000738 Passenger Saddle

And that note is incorrect. Guzzi caused the confusion because of the way they sometimes designate the same bike in Europe and the U.S. as different model years.
Both the Roamer and Bobber were introduced in Europe in 2016 with the flat saddle, which then came to the US as a 2017. When they switched to the longer and higher dual saddle, it was a 2017 in Europe and a 2018 in the U.S..
The tail rack I linked does fit the 2017 U.S. flat saddle model. You do NOT need to buy a new solo and passenger seat combo to make it work. My dealer tried to tell me the same thing, but I was able to show them photos of the same bike with that rack installed.
Here’s mine.

And because someone else will try to tell you the C-Bows won’t work with that rack:

THIS is the source of all the confusion. Guzzi switched seats between the 2017 and 2018 models to give passengers more room and padding. The extra length and height meant the original tail rack would no longer fit. Here is the new 2018 seat.

So, windscreen ?

Here is my Bobber with a Guzzi rear rack and a Dart windscreen.

Those look nice. How do those tires handle? If you could get an 80/20 or 70/30 in those size you could T-dub a Goose!
-
That bike looks so much better with the corbin or the longer seat. The original just looked confused on whether it was a solo or cuddle seat.
-
Congrats on the new Goose! Looks like you have the bases well covered.

I'm happy to have more rubber on the road. Bike handles great.
