Rebuilding a 78 LeMans. Before I damage anything...any special techniques for getting a stuck cush plate out? Assuming its frozen to the sleeve. It's been soaking in WD40 for a couple weeks. Moderate heat on the splines and hub and Still not budging.

take disc off. put nuts back on to save threads knock bolts to push cush drive off, even taps, usually starts to budge straight away
Assuming you have already removed plate that holds it on,
of course

Thank you, Jacksonracingcom! Worked perfectly. Next challenge...getting that rust frozen sleeve out? Does it press out?

Good luck w/that! My LM3 was like that after 50Kmi and I swapped it all. I have another to do for the Cal2 but it is free and won't hold in bearings anymore, been changed too many times. So, LM3 rear is on the Cal2 right now.

not sure what you mean
the steel centre hub?
yes it does press in but don’t go there
if you can get bearings to sit tight all is good
just clean and grease cush mate area
