Title: Factory part die young
Post by: cleatusj on February 04, 2019, 05:18:54 AM
Factory regulator died after only 26 years. While enjoying a nice ride yesterday morning, the battery light came on, on my '93 Calli 3. After shutting down I saw smoke coming from under the front of tank. Upon inspection found leaking regulator, quickly resume disconnecting battery and wires to said smoking device, I was able to reconnect battery and resume the ride back ti the house.

I believe it is time to add some new parts so that I can continue to bond with this odd contraption called Moto Guzzi. Life is good, but what is the best replacement, regulator that is.

Bosch or Ducati Alt? for the Ducati alt depending if you wish to retain the charge light HD "Big" Evo motor Accel works fairly well.

I like having the light. Is the Arrowhead adc6000 any good?

Thanks, I've tried to order online, but seem to not be able to. I'll be calling them tomorrow.
