Title: NW Motorcycle Classic - Sat. April 27
Post by: SED on February 05, 2019, 10:58:35 PM
Our local club is putting on a classic motorcycle "expo" at the Lynden, WA fairgrounds Saturday, April 27, 2019.  There will be a show, swap meet, vendors, bikes for sale, a bike auction, club booths, t-shirts, food trucks...  There is even free parking and RV hook-ups.

https://washingtonvintagemotorcyclists.org/northwest-motorcycle-classic-3/ (https://washingtonvintagemotorcyclists.org/northwest-motorcycle-classic-3/)

For years the Washington Vintage Motorcyclists put on a swap meet with the Cascade hot rod club at the Skagit Fairgrounds but lack of interest by the car club meant there was no swap meet last year.  This was usually the same weekend as the Cloverdale, BC classic bike swapmeet so visitors could get 2 events in 1 weekend.  Unfortunately there is no 2019 Cloverdale swap meet so the "Northwest Motorcycle Classic Expo" is it!  We hope to get lots of people from the Lower Mainland.

It's in the Haggen Pavilion so should be a lot warmer than the fairgrounds.  The show will feature Vincents, but there will be all sorts of bikes.  The AMCA has 4 booths so hope to see some good old American iron.  No word on the Guzzi chapter yet...

Follow the link above if you'd like a booth or wish to represent a club.  Hope to see you there!

Come on down!  I'll probably be at the Ariel club booth so introduce yourself!  If not I'll be scouring the swap meet for Guzzi or Ariel parts... HA!

Bumping this thread as this is next Saturday - April 27!  Lynden, WA fairgrounds. 10am-3pm   There will be signs on Front Street.

Free parking and $5 entry fee.  Food trucks!

It sold out earlier than ever this year.  There are dealers and swap meet vendors, club booths, lots of bikes for sale. Our club is auctioning 2 bikes - a 1981 Suzuki GS1100 and a 1974 Honda CB175.  The bike show features Vincents, but includes examples lots of historic bikes from all over the world.

I'll probably be at the Ariel booth, but I'd love to meet you and talk Guzzis.

Hope you can make it!

Shawn

Great!  Bring some $5 bills for the entry - we are taking them at par.  (but not 10s and 20s!)

A great time last Saturday.  Lots of V-twin bikes but no Guzzis inside  :undecided:
I was going to be at the Ariel booth but spent most of my time helping with the entries - more than 1300 attendees.
Some photos.

All the Guzzis were outside.  Loved the old bacon slicer but didn't get to talk to the owner.  Think it is a late '40s GTV or Astore with a Falcone tank.  George's V7 is beautiful!
