did Elk Grove Power Sports Dealer in Sacramento drop the Moto Guzzi line? I dont see any Guzzi's on their website argh :undecided:
-
They've still got some new Moto Guzzi's listed for sale on Craigslist. Although it's troubling there is not a single reference that I could find on their website.
-
Wow you're right -- no list and no Moto Guzzi on the manufacturer's list.
Maybe that's why I've never gotten a return call on getting a V7 demo.
Funny they kept MV Agusta's
-
Oh man! That's where I got my v7 iii Racer! So sad.

If correct, what does this leave in Calif——maybe 5 dealers? I understand that Livermore has also dropped the brand.

I just got a message from the Service manager .. yes they have dropped the MG line... he is working on keeping MG service..
more info as I get it :violent1: they still have Vespa which is a volume line for them... they are moving to a new bigger building in the future?
and they are doing great with the other off road linesI understand.......

more breaking news .....seems that they had an issue? with MG Corp
and Elk Grove pulled all their MG inventory and parked them in the service dept ...
.. they even had 6-7 MG sales already in the pipe line that had to be cancelled ....
so I guess they are playing "poker with MG.. ( whats really funny the rep for Vespa and MG is the same guy .......)
I would love to know who that guy is ..anybody know? I have never met a factory rep from Guzzi .. have any of you????

Granted I come from the new car world.. [VW Mazda]... But with the dismal US sales figures for MG, I just cant see where they have the strength to stand on when dealing with the dealer network. Cant see what they really offer for the dealers to want them. When a car maker gets a hot model, or really starts selling well, they ALWAYS come down on the smaller dealers and making demands and pulling the "we are going to pull the franchise" trick... Cant see MG having anything to leverage...

As usual MG is pushing unrealistic sales volumes on their dealers. Hope they can get it resolved as Elk Grove was one of the best central California dealers around. They would have sold a lot of 85 TT's.
New models and fewer dealers, what a concept....... maybe to much Vino :boozing:

Another item that my year old MG riding son pointed out is that Elk Grove Powersports is also a Triumph Dealer.
We all know that Triumph is one of the major competitors to Moto Guzzi.
I've never seen a Ford and Chevy dealer in the same building
