I'll go with the Manatee JJ.

John, another very interesting vehicle. Front wheel drive and rear wheel steering, and looks to seat at least 4. Oh, and did I mention streamlined.

I would enjoy seeing both at a car show!

Cool!

Reminds me of a Tatra 77.  Only time I ever saw one was in Seattle in the early '80s when aerodynamic cars were just starting to come from the manufacturers.  I was stunned that it was from the '30s.  3 headlights, tail fin, suicide doors AND V-8 power!

Chrysler Airflow is a runner up.

A lot of people actually owned these as practical, functional cars not many years ago.

Wish I had one ... Citroen DS

Rear wheel steering, Yikes!! Anyone who's operated a forklift for any amount of time knows how stable rear wheel steering is at speed...

JJ that particular model had a 4 cyl Citroen engine.

You're thinking of the SM model that Burt Reynolds destroyed in the "Longest Yard"

Buckies blimp did not handle safely as it proved by showing that it had a propensity to rollover like a dog.
I had a Citroen D speciallike the one pictured except that it was red.  Best driving car that I ever had.  Better than either of my Mercedes.

From the posted link:

"Meet the Solo -- a one-seater vehicle made by Electra Meccanica Vehicles Corp. that costs $15,500. By December, 5,000 will be zipping around the streets of Los Angeles, with an additional 70,000 to be delivered over the next two years across the West Coast. Electra Meccanica may have a market value of just $140 million, yet it has $2.4 billion in pre-orders. The stock more than tripled in New York Wednesday."

What could be more aero than a Messerschmitt? The Kabinenroller KR200 from the early sixties even had a aircraft-style canopy and a yoke steering wheel:

Volkswagen XL1. Limited production, but still "production".

Back in 2014, at the famous Barrett-Jackson car auction, I saw and sat in this 3-wheeled ELEO.  They were supposedly going to be manufactured in Phoenix and retail for about $8500.

Don't know what ever happened to them, but I suspect the many ELECTRIC vehicles coming out and to market will now surpass what they were trying to achieve...

I think the Avanti was just wonderful.  That and the '53 Starlight Coupe.

I've never ridden in either one but they were styled way ahead IMO.
