40 year old machinery putting on an excellent show.
Very worth watching if you are a race fan.
Names you'll know.

I've been the last 4 or 5 years. It's a good event, very relaxed.
You can park your bike anywhere you like around the track or, via a tunnel, in parking areas inside the track. A large part of the fun is wandering around checking out the bikes in the carpark. An extraordinary range machines turn up and almost no Harleys. Make what you like of that. You can go into the pits and chat with the riders and mechanics and watch the racing from the top of the pit building. At the MotoGP that is reserved for the very rich or the very famous.
Last year Agostini showed up. He wasn't riding but he was chatting and signing autographs.
Sadly attendances seemed well down this year despite excellent weather. Even more worryingly the commercial supporters weren't there. Last year BMW and Moto Guzzi had big displays along with a few others. This year only Royal Enfield turned up. There were also fewer food and coffee vans.
Let's hope next year is better.

Cool video! Now I feel old... I saw them bikes race at Loudon when they were new. Vintage back then were Silks and Norton Manxes.

Australian Government shafted the event with the ban on leaded race fuel. No pommy representation this year & a lot less promotion.
