Title: Just another morning in..."The Wildlife Corridor!"

A herd of Javelina...with little babies called "reds" under our back deck this morning!! :rolleyes: :shocked: :wink: :thumb:

Are those "Razorbacks"?  or is that something else?

Are those "Razorbacks"?  or is that something else?

They're Javelina.

 Razorbacks are normally descended from feral hogs crossed with wild boar , nasty , mean, ornery things . Javelinas are a different species , docile little creatures mostly eat prickly pear , whereas a razorback will eat almost anything , including a human  :shocked:

They are called "Peccary" (Javelina)...and they are NOT the same species as the large European wild boar, like you find in Texas and other places.
