Title: Roamer / Bobber front fender screws
Post by: KiwiKev on February 24, 2019, 10:47:53 PM
Hi guys,

On the way home from my first service I almost lost my Roamer front mudguard (fender) due to the screws rattling loose. I heard a rattle so pulled over and found one screw only holding it.

Might pay to check your screws for tightness and maybe do what I did and Loctite the four new ones in place. Assume the Bobber would be the same.

Cheers,

Kevin

I knew a fellow who endo-ed a moped because the front fender came loose and went into the spokes.

He said it began with a tinging noise as the brace began skipping off the spokes - he said to himself " What the - ? " and never got as far as the expletive before the machine flipped and his shoulder was separated in the impact with the road.

LOL, sounds similar to my experience as a kid being given a ride on the bar of my brothers pushbike. I put my shoe into the front spokes to see what would happen = may have been Kiwi Roy even - he will remember the incident if it was.
