I might even have asked this before but humour me

how fast is my lemans 1000 going at 6500rpm in top gear

??

this is for a convert, but has slots for the tranny numbers for 5 speeds. You may have to join the group to get the file.

I tried the calculator to determine RPM on my T-3 since it has the police dash it has no tach. Entered in 110mph, 18" tires and 4.71 final drive. It calculated 9,671 rpm at that speed. No way! Is my final drive figure incorrect?

I believe you need to enter the tire diameter, not the rim size. Probably about 25 inches, I guess, but you could measure it.

P.S. If 25 inches were entered in the calculator you would get 6963 rpm at 110 mph, I expect. (9671 x 18 / 25 = 6963.) Sounds about right.

answering my own question

I went to this site

and got around 115mph

 If the rear tire is 26 inch tall, if the overall gear ratio in 5th is 4.4....6500 is 114 mph... This is the online calculator I use from my race bike gearing..http://www.wallaceracing.com/gear-speed.php (http://www.wallaceracing.com/gear-speed.php)
