What are the stock size and length of the 18 fasteners on a 850/1000cc motor
Fourteen (14) M6 x 40 socket head for the perimeter of the pan
Four (4) ? x ? hex head bolts the interior of the pan
Any help would be appreciated

sump spacer or not?

Got a parts manual? Look at the last two digits of the part number - that's the bolt length. For a 1000SP with stock sump and no spacer: (14) M6 x 25 (98622325) around the perimeter, (4) M6 x 55 (98620355) on the bottom.

Thanks Charlie. Just got done pulling the external oil filter and off to the store to get fasteners.

Well check that. Went to the local hardware store and at an average of $1.59 per fastener x 18 = $30+ dollars with tax I decided to not keep my business local. Amazon to the rescue for $0.45 per fastener delivered.

McMaster Carr was $13.93 + shipping for a package of 25. Amazon was $8.99 delivered for a package of 20.
Don't forget Fastenal, MSC, Grainger and Drivekore. But if I wanted them this weekend Amazon was the answer. Order Friday at 7:00pm and gaurantee delivery on Sunday.

Absolutely. For a one off order, Amazon is almost unbeatable. I wait until I have several things on my shopping list when ordering from MC.

Lance: If you ever get in a "pinch" and need fasteners, I keep a fairly large stock on hand.

Amazon is only getting better. They've started using artificial intelligence to predict what we're going to buy, and then staging it in nearby warehouses before we order it. This saves them money in meeting their one- or two day shipping promises at that later time. (I believe this was in the NY Times.) I can barely believe things have gone this far.

Appreciate it and will keep you in mind. This was sort of an anomaly. I have the 850T on the lift and was tinkering around with it and it needed an oil change. But not knowing if I'm going to keep or sell the T it was a good time to pull the external oil filter and reserve it until the dust settles and I know what I'm keeping and what i'm selling.

We ended up getting Amazon Prime 2 months ago for the free shipping. Several times in the past I'd have to order additional items to qualify for free shipping. Now with prime I can order individual items mutiple times a day and shipping is free and most items are 2 day shipping.
An added benefit is Amazon Prime video. Lots of movies, TV shows and original content to watch. My wife never watched the Soprano's so in the middle of winter with not an excessive amount of stuff to do we are watching an episode or so almost every evening. Sure beats the 175 channels of nothing to watch on cable. Last Saturday morning while the wife slept in I treated my self to a viewing of Lone Wolf McQuade.

I got a box of 50 from McMaster Carr for under $10 years ago. I forget the shipping costs, but it was not bad. The NICEST part was that I ordered it in the morning, that afternoon a guy drive up. I think it was a pizza delivery guy moonlighting. He had my bolts. Same day delivery, cheap. And I did not pay extra to expedite them.
Not sure any of that is still true. And I would likely try Amazon first myself now.
I do trust the quality from McMaster Carr. Amazon would be suspect.

With 18 bolts holding on the oil pan even if they were made out of licorice they'd be strong enough.

We've been Prime members for years. Didn't notice the Sopranos was available. Never seen it. Actually, Prime taught me that cable, DTV, etc. are dinosaurs, and we stream whatever video content we want. That, combined with an antenna, Tablo and hard drive pretty much covers the spectrum at less than half the cost. (Guzzi content) Oh, and we can watch it when we want.

Another possible Prime benefit:
We've been members since the programs inception...on the rare occasions (3, out of hundreds of orders) that something was wrong...wrong item, item damaged in shipping, bad fit, etc., Amazon has approved the return and sent replacement out same day without waiting for the return item to be shipped back...maybe that's just their regular policy, I'm not sure but they've never questioned my requests...
