The Janesville and New Berlin dealers owe the mother ship 6.3 million dollars threw some shady financing shenanigans.

Way back in 1970 the same business plan put a local Guzzi and Kawasaki dealer in central Indiana out of business. He had a lot of empty crates as inventory. He left town in the middle of night.

Talking to a local guy that used to be in the business, the manufacturers are even worse with their strong arm tactics, inventory dumps and required-after-the-fact merchandise buys and franchise fees.
He gave me an example of Polaris denying adding Indian franchises to Victory dealers while at the same time requiring them to make additional investment buys into the Victory franchises months before closing them down.
But like the article said, we had a multi brand dealer here that was shut down doing the same thing. Included were rumors of warranty and bust-out fraud. Folks played heck getting their bikes out of the service bay after bankruptcy.

With the amount of HD dealerships in that area it's not a surprise the weak "lambs" are going to slaughter.
