Title: Givi WingRack2 on a Calfornia Stone
Post by: BrotherJim on April 07, 2019, 11:33:09 AM
Anyone running one of these on an '02 CalStone or similar?  I've sold my Bandit 1200 and removed the Givi set from it, but aside from an eBay miracle, I'm probably SOL on finding a model specific fit kit.  If someone would be wiling to snap and post a few photos of the mounting points on their similar machine, that would be great.  My engineer/fabricator brother says he can probably make something work.  Thanks!

This is for a topcase? Twisted Throttle has a luggage/topcase rack (you'd have to buy an adapter plate for that) and sidecase racks. I have both, and they work well.

The Givi WingRack2 is a top and sidecase rig.  Are you running the Givi Monokey luggage on that, Rich?  I'll have to check it out.

Yes Monokey sidecases (I have both E22s and Dolomitis). I have a small Pelican-like case attached to the luggage rack, but I'm pretty sure a monokey topcase would fit with an adapter plate. I think Givi sidecases work well with the V7.

Well, shucks.  Twisted Throttle has got nothing specific to the California Stone for mounting luggage.  They do have an adapter for Monokey luggage, but the issue is I've got nothing to mount it to.  Thanks for the input, Rich.  It was worth a shot.

A bit different but I had one on my old 95 Cali

IIRC it was a universal kit comprising 10mm steel rods - straight and bent

I'd say it was functional rather than beautiful!

Givi used to supply a universal fitting kit. not sure if it is still available
I fitted a wingrack to my G5 using one. part number Y127

The Stone mounting is different than my EV but I have Wingracks on mine.  For it Zibell made a backing plate, mounted the Wingracks to the plate, and then mounted  the plate to the bike using the factory setup.  It's not beautiful but it will outlast the bike itself I'm sure.  A trip to the local fab shot would probably be your best bet.
