Title: Cadre Cycle
Post by: tasdisr on January 04, 2019, 11:13:04 AM
For anyone interested Cadre Cycle in Cincinnati looks to have the V9's on sale. The Roamer is $6300 and the Bobber is $6500. Not sure how many they have but seems like a heck of a price.
They are also raffling off a V7III Stone for $25 a chance with only 400 tickets being sold.

he's also the second largest dealer by volume of out the door new Guzzi's in 2018 in the US of A. He's doing a hell of a job.

A NEW V9 with a 2 year warranty, no plastic anything, 6500 out the door?? That gives one pause.

I was by the shop today. Enzo told me that he's also including the Euro footpeg relocation kit free with every bike, so you leave with two sets, the US mounted, the Euro in a box. And he's got over 20 of these bikes (V9's specifically.)

I saw 11 new V7's (2 iterations of Carbons, Stones, Milano, Sports)
a Bobber and a Roamer
New Eldo
New Audace
New MGX21

Various used Guzzis from 90's Cali's to a Norge and other Marques as well.

That's commitment to the brand, folks. tell your friends.

I was up there yesterday to pick up a couple of chances on the V7. I bought a yellow V9 Roamer from Enzo last year.

Definitely committed to the brand and the customer. A class act!

Bought some tickets today.  Hey, you never know!
Correct me if I'm mistaken but don't the V9 bikes, since last year, ship with the relocation kit as part of the package no charge?

I had service work done at cadre last summer, although it's a 6 hour trip it was well worth it.  Being my first Guzzi I had quite a few questions, very good bunch of guys. I'll buy my next one off of Enzo.  I purchased a couple tickets online for the stone raffle. I'm never lucky with winning anything, but maybe it will change.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't add the $500 freight cost to that number.
Just sayin'

Another thumbs up here for service and sales.  previously, i had a bmw that required some serious work.  cadre did an excellent job in a timely manner at a fair price given that the bike had to be split in half.  a year later, it developed another serious problem unrelated to the work performed the previous year.  Cadre gave me a fair trade for my non-driving bmw and helped me buy my present ride at a very fair price.  how many dealers refuse to give you real money for clean, well running trades? most of them?   broken trades? i think the answer is one, cadre.
as for an additional $500.  if you were to call them up and ask them, they would honestly tell you yes or no.  but i think that they advertise a $50 doc. fee.  Enzo and the crew go further for their customers than anyone i have experienced.  Having visited Hamlins, I would estimate that they are in the same league.

No sir. Thatís out the door. He made a commitment on (I believe) 23 bikes and got a deal. Heís passing it along. And this thread shows you why. His rep as a dealer with integrity, inventory and qualified wrenches is growing.

I stopped in on my way through Cincy yesterday, a town I donít get to often. Despite being ina 28 ft straight truck, I took a chance on being able to stop at his place and swung by. I found a shop with over a dozen bikes outdoors in the air. Parked my truck and walked into a small older shop, guzzi swag, selection of oils and accessories on this wall, an array of Agostini pipes on that. New Guzziís crammed everywhere but all able to be straddled. Asked if Enzo was around and the guy pointed over my shoulder. I did a 180 and waved at the his smiling mug across the room. ďHey Kip!Ē After introducing me to his notary as their meeting wrapped up, he offered and produced a cup oí joe and chatted with me for a half hour. Mind you the shop was busy. There were a 3-4 wrenches in the shop. Guzziís an airhead and a couple japanese bikes on lifts. I finally released him because i felt I was cutting into his productivity.

Iíve never been to his place before yet he greeted me by my first name. This is because heís been to rallyís and met the guys who love the brand. He also knows I ride a 19 yr old iteration of the cheapest bike Guzziís ever built, and donít have a track record of purchasing squat, yet he gave me the time of day, and much more.

I know all the details about this V9 push not because he was pushing a sale but because I was peppering him with questions because Iím fascinated as to how a guy like him is making a go of it with all that we hear about the challenges of working with Piaggio. Rose Farm, C&D, Cleveland Moto are all dealerships withing 400 miles of him whoíve hung it up recently. Heís got a bride and small kids, heís a sharp guy with no doubt lots of options and yet, heís hanging his hat on Moto Guzzi.

The guys here who know me know Iím constantly hemminí and hawiní Over another bike, virtually everything on 2 wheels is in play, usually the one in front of me is the hottest one. Iím fickle and cheap. But I like to know who Iím working with. Enzos already supplied me parts from afar. Should I need service beyond the skill of myself and this forums council, heíll provide it. And should the sirens call of an ABS traction controlled standard and a work bonus ever pique at the same time, heís the only guy Iíll call.

So, I called them -  and talked to Enzo.

Bought a white roamer. Only available in white.
$6,300 + $550 freight + 50 doc fee = $6,900 out the door.  Tax title extra.  Pick it up next Saturday.

I DID tell him that  I learned about it on the Wild Guzzi forum.

Good for you.  I go that far to Hamlin's.  Worth it for a good dealer.

I'm confused on the deal, though.  $6900.00 out the door I thought ment total, tax and all that.  You had tax added?  Still a great price, but with all the conversation about dealer pricing transparency I wanted to be sure I was understanding the language correctly.  Either way, nice price for sure.

Oh that's right - some states collect all that at the point of sale.  No, Missouri isn't one of those states.
It's $6,900 out the door for the motorcycle (even though it is being purchased in Ohio).  Sales tax, title, license is paid separately at the DMV for Missouri residents

When I talked with him he said thereís a lot of interest in the V85, aside from that heís gotta clear out space
For the new models. Heís become a regional power selling parts too and his service is great. That and being a
Stand alone MG dealer seems like a good formula.

Ya did good.  I donít care what anybody says, that price for that bike is a steal.  The amount of bike you got there for that price is darn near ridiculous.  Iíve had various V7 iterations, 8V Guzzis, 1100 Guzzis, 1200 Guzzi, and IMHO the V9 is my favorite engine of them all.  Way to go.  And, on top of all that youíll have the backup of one of the best Guzzi dealers in the States.

hahahaaa funny that you should mention that.  I said that I couldn't get out there until a week from today and he said that he would call me later in the week to make sure that my bike was there, as this group of bikes were "enroute".

I believe the one in the pic is a demo. I rode a white V9 he had on hand in October before I bought mine

While I admire Cadre devotion & commitment, judging by all of the dealers that at one time carried Guzzi and no longer do or who are no longer even in business, his business model does not bode well for their longevity.  I wish them the best, maybe the V85 will save the dealers!

i don't know what his books look like, but he's selling more than a new Guzzi a week, plus profit on used machines, plus all the servicing he's doing. As a small operator who keeps costs low....you never know. 1921. It's been a minute....

That is why I was confident buying a Guzzi from Sloan's in Murfreesboro.  Moto Guzzi is just one of the 13 brands they carry.  They only need to sell the minimum required a year to keep carrying them.  They also carry all the other Paggio products.

The roamer does have a nicer look than the bobber and a more relaxed riding position.  Sloans has a leftover bobber but no roamer to test ride.  I still think that if I add a third bike to my stable it will have more dual sport capability.
