New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Have a set of head pipes that were jet hot coated over 20 years ago. Touched them up in the last decade or so with a generic high temp. stove spray paint. Did ok but was wondering what's the latest and greatest.Ease of application and cost (guzzi content) are factors.
It may be the same stuff that Thirtyaughtsix mentioned with a different label, but VHT "Flame Proof 1300-2000°F" works very well if you're willing to follow the curing procedure on the label. It comes in many colors, including black and clear. Here's one source, and there are many others.https://www.amazon.com/VHT-SP102-FlameProof-Coating-Black/dp/B000CPJLGMI've had it on my Mille's head pipes for several years. Rocks chip it occasionally, but a touch-up every couple years isn't difficult.I'm pretty sure you'd need to remove the stove paint before applying this stuff.
