NGC-A nice Hondamatic available on CL
« on: May 23, 2019, 09:39:57 AM »

https://newhaven.craigslist.org/mcy/d/farmington-1978-honda-cb-750-hondamatic/6894475033.html

And only about an hour from me. What does the Guzzi community think of Honda's version of the Convert? Does it have ANY form of the chronic Guzzi Automatic issues? Sure does look nice...

Buddy of mine had one for years. It was not snappy, but it didn't feel slow and pulled good. I know of not a single incidence of a bad convertor. I believe those convertors were used in drag racing as well.

I rode one of those once. Once was enough. Never again. Incredibly boring.

Easy to ride. Reliable. Didn't need you.

I had one in the mid eighties.  I loved it.  Then a guy parked his Oldsmobile on it and me and totaled it and nearly me.

IIRC Honda used the same drivetrain in their cars w/a smaller engine.
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.
