Another one for the record books, damn. I've been dreading this happening on every trip we take on the 14 custom. Currently 20,000 miles on the original crossover.
I think I may see if a welder friend can reinforce it before the next trip coming up. Perhaps a wrap around gusset would do the trick. I noticed GT has a replacement available and what's interesting is that there is no clamp on the slip joint/ cross pipe. I would imagine it would leak slightly without one but it would reduce stress on the welds without them being clamped rigid.
