Drool worthy!

Yep other than the shocks and horns not being stock it looks correct.

Now this is being picky, but...

if one repaints a bike and goes through the mechanical why would you leave the fasteners in their corroded state, it's no longer original having been repainted and personally I just hate seeing a shiny paint job and corroded fasteners.

This is the second or third late 70s-early 90s model Guzzi lthat I've seen isted, lately, with an $18,000 price tag on it. One of the others was a 90s model 1000S. Yet I see restored Eldos and Ambassadors (which are arguably rarer,) go for around $10,000. What am I missing, here?

Love the early series 1 bikes with integrated tail light and flush headlight.  Shouldn't it also have a solo seat?  If I had a spare $18K, I'd be all over it.

I didn't think any of them had a solo seat.

Solo seat was stopped before the rear tail light, my sep ‘76 has the later seat with first series tail light

They did.

You may call it a solo seat but it sat two. Back in '76 everyone had smaller butts. My wife could sit on it though not for long. It was replaced in later years because it was made of cheese and fell apart before the first oil change.

This one is back on Ebay for the umpteenth time, 1978 Le Mans, was listed at $25K last year, now down to $18K, still $5K too high IMHO.

Poor repaint and red painted wheels, painted final drive and gas cap + much more that isn't correct, but still it's a Le Mans.

Like you say, so much done to this bike from the standard.
It actually doesn't look very nice in its current state; and to ask $18k for it, taking the piss.

$18,000 is A LOT of lettuce...but that's what the market bears these days for this iconic Guzzi...

Back in 1980, when I moved from NORCAL to AZ the first time, I sold my 1978 850 Le Mans for $3800!!  (Who knew?!?)

Didn't know that they came in ice blue.  I would have bought one instead of the red.  :undecided: At least I have the red.
