Amazing as we're native Texans but have not lived here since the late 80's when I began my now ended military career.

I've covered the 254 counties extensively so would like to know what some of your interests are. Just good roads, ghost towns, good places to eat (BBQ in Zablokville), weird places like the possum capital of Texas), museums, historic buildings, the list goes on.

The Texas MGNOC rep Georganne Foster puts on a belt busting feed etc the first weekend in Oct. Guzzi content: it is free.

Texas Monthly Magazine always lists interesting places. By reading it is how I found out about Green's rest and market in Zabcikville. The TV program Texas Country Reporter and the Texas Bucket list will give you more ideas.

True, the Hill Country offers good riding but I can even offer things to see in Mentone. ( my humor)

Great suggestions...anoth er nice magazine is called Ride Texas, always has some great route selections and small out of the way places to visit.

I suppose in proper Texas style, we should offer a "welcome" lunch at Black's BBQ in Lockhart in the fall once the heat has dissipated a bit or do another Equidistant Ride to Hearne, Texas for the Guzzista in Houston, Austin, Dallas like we did several years ago.
