F08 brake pads
« on: September 12, 2019, 04:40:21 PM »
The stock Brembo front brake pads on my SP III don’t give a lot of feel.  I’m thinking something softer would help.  Has any compared the F08 stock pads to others, like EBCs?  I’m not concerned about pad life.  The bike has cast iron rotors.

I *like* HHs. They do wear your rotors, though. Doesn't matter to me.. I'll gladly give up some rotor life for grip.

If it's the stock master cylinder, that's most likely the problem. They're spec'd smaller these days, but back then that's what specs called for. I've de-linked my LM4 brakes and the stock front master is perfect for duals.

I never liked the F08 on the Mille. I got an F09 and "sticky pads" as Moto International called them and stopping was much improved.
F09 replacement are available from MG cycle. I do not remember what the pads from M.I. were called. But I put them all the way around and it was a huge improvement.
