For some reason I'm having problems when I reply using the quote feature using my iPhone. Seems my reply is inside the shaded area no matter what I try. When using a browser on the computer, I get the normal brackets for quote that I can clearly see, but not from safari on my phone. I tried other apps (edge, Firefox, chrome), same thing

Is there a way around this?

I'm testing your question by hitting the quote then hitting enter twice to start my reply. How's it look?

Tap your screen just past the last quote in brackets and hit the return key. That will get you out of the grey area when the post is posted.

Hmm, still doesn't work. Again, on the computer I can clearly see where the quote ends (looks like this>) [\quote]

But on the iPhone, I just get this:

Reply with a quote has never worked on my computer - don't know why...

Maybe one of the iPhone guru's will chime in on formatting. I know on my android some things are a little different on websites compared to my laptop. I run Firefox on both but there are still differences that I can't change. Technology is your friend

I see that when you include the quote it just has a link to the quote and doesn't show the actual original quote in a box.

Now that I think about it, I think it's an issue with google chrome on the computer as well. Haven't tried that in a while, but I think it was the same. Edge, IE, Firefox all work fine on the computer. On the phone, those same browsers (in App form) don't work right for the quote in reply.
