It is with great sadness that I re post a message from FB that Washington Moto Guzzi Rep Gayle Guthrie posted on the passing of Marian Nolan.

FYI: Just a quick note to let the Moto Guzzi Club of Washington know - An icon has passed away. Marian Nolan, Lifetime member # 39 passed away on Sunday, January 26th at the age of 92. She and Bob were the State Reps from 1990 till 2002 when they turned it over to us (Richard and Gayle Guthrie). They were a big part of the community of motorcycling and mentors to a lot of people. As Marian always told everyone she met "the coffee pot is always on". Her service will be Saturday, February 15th at 1:00 p.m. at Edline-Yahn Covington Funeral Chapel, 27221 156th Ave SE, Kent, WA. If you plan to attend and ride your motorcycle you are invited to ride in as a group that is meeting at the East Side of the Safeway parking lot located at 13101 SE Kent-Kangley Road, Kent at 12:30 and the group will be leaving there at 12:40 p.m. promptly. This is about 2 miles from the funeral home.

Marion and Bob were very special people. They literally EMBRACED Gail and I into the Guzzi community way back in 1998.

I met Richard Guthrie in South Dakota in 1999 (Sturgis). He invited me to the Randal campout and it took me until 2001 to show up. After arriving from California to my first guzzi function the first person I talked to was Marion at the check-in table. I am part of the Guzzi family forever after the best welcome from a complete stranger.
Thank you Marion......

I never had the pleasure of meeting her.  Sounds like a Special Guzzi lady.

What a life to celebrate!  I am glad we were able to share time on this earth, even if didn't get to meet her in person.
My condolences to the family.

two wonderful Guzzi folks. I first met them in Sylvan Grove Kansas and then at the National in Washington. Glad I got to visit with Marion at the National in John Day. I wish all Guzzi riders would do 5% for the Guzzi community like Bob and Matrion did/

Steve

I just saw this and am so sorry Bonnie and I missed the service on Saturday. Her and Bob were a big part of what got me going on Guzzis...the uniqueness, the quirkiness and of course the family feeling that every Guzzi event brought.
Hope to cross paths with you and the other NW Guzzi family this summer.
