accelerator pump check ball

Does anyone have a tip for replacing the check ball in the acc. pump in a vhb 30 carb? I can't get at the plastic ball without destroying the brass piece containing it. Thanks Tim

Is there some reason you want to replace it? I never have in any of the dozens of carb rebuilds I've done. As long as it rattles when shaken, I don't mess with it.
