California Parts Interchangeability (Exhausts & Wheels)

Greetings again from SW Missouri!
Feel like I am bothering you guys with all these questions but I have just a couple more and then I will leave you alone (until I hit another snag lol).

I have the chance to buy two parts I need to get my recently rear-ended 03 California Stone back on the road. The prices are great and if possible I would like to make it happen.
Here are my questions:

1) Will a wheel for a "Moto Guzzi California 1100 REAR WHEEL RIM 99-01 Jackal 99-00 Special 17X3.50" fit my 03 Stone. I crossreferenced the parts from another helpful post and it looks like my swing arm, axel, spacer, tube, and caliper bracket have different part numbers but the caliper part numbers are the same. I have not been in the game long/searched for parts for my bike enough to how if it will fit or not. The wheel/rim is a great deal on eBay right now but will only get me on the road if it will fit. Note: All other parts of my wheel assembly are in good shape and working order. It is just the rim that is out of action.

2) Not only did the crash bend up my rear wheel but the subsequent post rear end laydown seems to have tweaked and broken loose the top crossover on my header (or it was already on its last leg). I am attaching a photo. Again, I have the chance to buy a set for a 03 EV for under 30 bucks. It isn't show quality but it is intact and cheaper than I think I could convince someone to weld mine up for me. Does anyone know if the headers for the stone and the EV are interchangeable. I do not know why they wouldnt but a set of pipes that doesnt fit isn't going to get me on the road no matter how cheap they are. lol

I tried researching all of this but ended up with a lot but could not find an answer one way or another for both of my questions.

The Jackal rim is not as wide as the 02 and up stone. Not really a issue in its self.. Not sure about hub fitment. Im sure it could be made to work....  what that needs to make happan Ill refer to others here. As for the exoust.. I cant image there is a difference between a 02 stone and a 03 EV..  Its really the same bike except for some bells and whistles on the EV, and the latter having hydrolic lifters..

The headers will fit. A set of headers without the crossover would fit too.. the broken header is no surprise, they do crack even without being in a crash. I "might" have a set without the crossover if you want to go that way.
I don't know about the wheel but study it carefully before spending your cash.

As far as wheel hubs. If your Stone has the later box channel swing arm & steel tube type rims you should have the deep drive hub P/N GU03351450 #28 in parts of rear drive.  The Jackal swingarm is of round on L/H side and has the shallow drive hub used in most earlier versions of Tonti frames. P/N GU17351400. Look to see if drive hub is somewhat flush or it sticks out into the breeze.
You could just swap rims.

Steve - your last post makes me think of my wheel problem.  I have a set of tubeless spoked wheels from an unknown Guzzi.  When I mount the rear wheel on the CalVin (which was my original plan) there’s a half-inch gap between the hub and the rear drive.

When I mounted that wheel on the project Convert, I had the opposite problem - the drive spline plate was too short, and the hub hit the edge of the rear drive.

Are there drive spline plates with different depths?  When I checked the spares in my shop, all were the same.

CalVin's have the deep hub, to use the tubeless wheel hubs you need to change to a short one. Usually no shimming is needed but I would check it.

Convert rear drive would need the axle spacer pressed in the center swapped for a longer one if bolt heads on back plate hit the wheel. There are like 5 or 7 different spacers that fit, some are NA now. They gave dealers notice on parts website when they discontinued them. If it's a small amount use a machined washer next to wheel bearing on the axle.

Yes, it unbolts from the ring gear. Fairly easy to swap out.   If you look at the Jackal book it is #28 also.
