Any Klim Marrakesh or Induction jacket owners out there? Feedback please.
My 25+ year old Joe Rocket yellow full mesh Phoenix jacket has earned it's retirement. It was a fantastic product that vents better than no jacket at all and held up through two major accidents without any damage to it or me. Unfortunately they don't make the same jacket anymore or I'd instantly buy it at any price and most of what they have is dark colors. That just doesn't work in the heat and humidity of the south. I had a cheap Sliders mesh on when I hit the bear last year and the seam on the sleeve blew out. No excuse for that so no Amazon etc for me. I've looked at Cortech, Richa, Revit, Scorpion and Alpine stars and don't see exactly what I want. It should be (barring another accident) the last one I will ever buy so price doesn't matter that much. I wear a Helite vest so it blocks a lot of the air flow so I need the max I can get.

I use a Marrakesh.  Comfortable, but really doesn't flow enough air over 80.
Here in AZ I use it with both a cooling vest and LC Comfort shirts to stay alive for an hour at 110.  But it all needs a recharge at 1 hour or I'm done like dinner.
Winters here (and I get down to Tuscon sorta near you) it's fine.

80% of the Tucson winter I use the full mesh jacket with a light nylon wind breaker over it until it hits 70+ and a Gerbing heated under when needed. That's good to 25 degrees or so.
It's a bitch to buy clothing when you can't see it and try it on.

 I have been wearing a Klim Marrakech jacket for about four years. It's been about as good as it could be in the ATL heat.  Very comfortable. Air does flow through the fabric. If the temp drops too low, I wear a hoodie underneath or a light rain jacket over the top. The armor isn't all clunky and weird, and doesn't impede on the overall comfort.



I bought the Marrakech pants at the same time, but I'm not a fan. Baggy, noisy, and I don't like the pocket placements. I never wear them.

I have a mandatory work weekend at the hunting club that week end. But, I'm at TWO just about every day some times twice a day. If I spot you there I'll take you up on the offer. I'm laid up for 2-3 week from a surgery but I hope tom go to Wooleys and look at them there.

   I've been wearing a Triumph branded mesh jacket for the last 20 years and it still has some life left in it. When I bought it the price was just a little more than Joe Rocket. Silver in color and works well in the Florida heat.

Hi guys. I have both jackets. In Tennessee the Klim Induction gets more use than the Marrakesh. Marrakesh feels like a 55-85f perfect weather jacket, Induction handles 85f and above and with a rain outer shell is very versatile for cooler days and evenings. Vagrant the Induction versus the Induction pro might be something to look into further as well.

I've had an Icon Mesh AF jacket for a couple years and it's worked for me in Florida heat & humidity

I have the Icon Hooligan and although this looks slightly better the holes are too small compared to the Old Joe Rockets.

At this point I'm leaning towards the Induction. How did you find their sizing? When the Atlanta dealers they show on their site open I'll call and see if they actually carry any inventory.

I have a Klim Induction mesh jacket that was given to me new as a gift.   It's quite a bit heavier build than a cheaper jacket, but it has equal or superior venting IMO.  I'm not in the  Klim "cult" but think it's a much better jacket than the Joe Rocket.   I will say the Velcro is getting loose around the cuff, which is typical of all my jackets.  I've learned to staple in new Velcro.

BTW, my original Joe Rocket mesh tore at the left elbow when I had a get off.  My skin was erased from my elbow towards my hand, the scar is 3 1/2 by 1 1/2 in.  No bear, just road debris.

Klim sizing seems to be more American sized, I wear everything XL in shirts and in Klim gear whereas if I buy Euro brands everything is XXL or XYL etc…. Hope that helps.

Thanks for this thread.  I just got back to WI from a stay just south of Durango, CO.  I wore a black Aerostich RC rather than my First Gear mesh jacket and pants.  Didn't trust the June weather in the mountains, Silverton and Ouray.  Spent most of time roasting at +90f, Ignacio, CO, Aztec, NM Farmington, Navajo Lake, Chimney Rock...  Lots of hot afternoon returns to our Ignacio AirB&B.  Actually skipped completing the San Juan Skyway circuit to avoid yet another hot afternoon ride. 

I'll be looking into the Klim Induction and probably a somewhat equally expensive, hopefully breathable, rainsuit. 

Or just the rainsuit and a better armor in the First Gear?  Though I do have my doubts about mesh gear in get-offs at higher speeds. Already served as a lower speed "test dummy" for cheap mesh pants.

I've had a Marrakesh for the last couple of summers here in Australia. It's good. I've worn it riding many times on 40°C days (about 100 in your money) and it's fine. I have a lightweight waterproof jacket and pants should it rain and a windproof top to wear under it for cool mornings (although sometimes the rain jacket does the job). Although the light grey colour helps with the heat it does clearly show every single splattered bug.

FYI, it seems our wonderful authorities have banned the chemicals used to make Gore-tex. So all MFG's will have to redesign including Klim.
Right now Revzilla is closing out a bunch of different brands of gear at 20-60% off. I just ordered a Klim Badlands suit from them at a very good price. If you sign up for their texts you get an extra 10% off. The code won't work on Klim gear but when you get your order ready and call them. They will give it on the phone.
The Marakesh is fantastic but I couldn't get the right size pants so I will wait and get the redesigned stuff in it.
