Yup. Took my Griso the other day from Apache Junction to Globe. Took 188 to Roosevelt Dam Then took 87 to Bush highway and back to AJ about 200 miles. Stopped for gas once. Took my own water and snacks with me. Didn't talk to anyone and yes ATGATT

Is 88 that runs through Tortilla Flat paved to Roosevelt Dam?  It's been several years since we took a car to T Flat, then continued on 88 to the dam.  At that time, I recall we ran out of pavement a few miles from the restaurant.
Main ride:  2008 Guzzi 1200 Sport (sold July 2020)
2012 Griso 8v SE (sold Sept '15)
Reliable standby: 1991 BMW R100GS
2014 Honda CB1100 (Traded Nov 2019)
New:  2016 Triumph T120 (Traded Dec 2021)
New:  2021 Kawasaki W800

Still a dirt road, a mile or two past Tortilla Flat...and then about 20+ miles of dirt road ...but still a beautiful ride on the way to the Dam / Bridge!!

You got the right rt number but the road has been closed since a flood washed the road out last summer. The couple people I know that tried to go through turned around and came back. That was a DR 250 Suzuki and a 5-- KTM

Yep its is blocked off, before I got sent home to Canada on March 20th I took the same loop as you did Warren and tired to get back via the dirt toad to Tortilla Flats, signs up told me the road was closed past the marina but I thought I would go see fro myself, riding my KLR 650, great big concrete barriers block the road and a wire fence as well. Saw onl;y two 4WD vehicles on the road.

Another short, 35+ mile shakedown ride this afternoon on "The Two Italians"....rain / dark storm clouds cut the ride short, however.  At least me and my buddy Mike shook the dust off the horses... :thumb:     (Felt GOOD!!)
