It worries me,  I’ve been contemplating buying a CanAm F3S Spyder with the 1330 Rotax engine if I can find a decent used one for a  good price.  It sounds like if you get a good one, it’s really good but if you get a bad one it’s nothing but problems. I don’t want to be a mechanic anymore so I’ve been reading the forums, looking for potential problems and it seems like a Guzzi in that the bad things get a lot of attention so maybe it’s the luck of the draw. The aviation side sounds messed up badly,  I don’t want to get involved in that.

Rotec is an Australian company that markets a couple of small radial engines for the experimental market.

Rotax is a Canadian/Austrian company that makes several aircraft engines, mostly flat 4 but no radials, as well as several OEM motorcycle/power sport engines.
