Hey, my dad has the same model! It's certainly a common bike in europe, I'd never expect it to be so rare in the US. Looking forward to see you restoring and returning this bike into a beauty!

This  pic is a 1980. Same year as mine.  Major difference is the style of saddlebags.

Interesting a 1980 got the 1976 tailight and curious its an 850 T-3 and not a G-5. Nice looking bike.

Did it come from Sacramento? A good friend of mine, who died a couple years ago,  had one. He was originally from England. He mostly had loops, though. Brian Garndner.

I looked through the paperwork.  The bike was owned by Simon Spark 23 years ago.

Dave - to the uneducated and unawares  , what makes this bike more special?  What does the "T3" have that others don't?

T3's in general aren't that hard to find this one if you've been reading was a model for European sales.  U.S. sales were for the T3FB.  Most have been modified.  Finding a T3 in near "oem" condition without a former owner's nightmare restoration is hard to find.  Most want to cafe mod the bike.

The rarity of the T3 California model in the USA is the only thing that makes it special.   Otherwise it is just a regular old T3 but just as Tom says, un messed with T3s are becoming scarce.

The Uship carrier delivered the T3 Cali this morning.  He did a great job for a reasonable price $600.

The bike is exactly as I expected.  This one will require a full up restoration.  No rejuvenation for this one.

I will start a build thread over in the bike build section as soon as I begin teardown to document the as found condition.

Aw man!  Without the seat it's just another T3!  The seat is more than half of what makes it a California.  Got to have the skunk seat!!

Is the seat meant to be a solo or 2 up? If it's 2 up, it looks like the passenger would be shoved into your back.

12,000, but I am sure it is 112,000.  The bike has all the patina of a bike ridden a lot.
