Kawasaki submits a new patent for a leaning trike

This looks interesting! I have never been a big fan of the Polaris slingshot, but making the thing lean, may be a whole new riding experience!

Tilting Motor Works makes a great conversion. If I were going to trike a Harley, TMW is the way to go. I have been a fan since Jay Leno featured them on his "Garage show". Very impressive engineering! :thumb:

Like I've always commented about trikes, is that the have both disadvantages of a car and a motorcycle.

Then, of course, we have the Can-Am-Spyder, which is equally as funky!

...and we have sidecars, which, if not set up properly, can be a REAL handful!

I test rode one that didn't have the lockup feature when coming to a stop.  The dealer offered it to me for the NADA value of the Heritage Classic it was bolted to.  I was tempted, but didn't have the cash reserves at that time.  I could see adding the kit to my Road Glide one day if necessary.  If I'm not leaning, I'm done riding.

I never understood the Slingshot.  Your in a car, but no Air Conditioning.  You have to wear a helmet in many states.  There is no weather protection.  I would buy a Miata before I bought a Slingshot.

Like Kiwi Dave, I don't understand he attraction to trikes other than an engineering  novelty.

when you still enjoy the air in your face but father time has made you so decripid you can't get a leg over the saddle, pull in a clutch, shift or ballance these are the options. I sure hope they have a leaner when my time comes.

If they don't have a leaner, a Wrangler will solve the air in your face because the windshield still folds down.  Or maybe a classic truck with the fold out windshield.

The Slingshot & leaning Piaggio MP3 scooter are solutions to questions nobody asked IMO

Yet, I have met people on/in both.  People who want to be part of the world we live in without committing to two wheels for one reason or another.
