NotaGuzzi - New Kymco 2018 SPADE
« on: June 17, 2020, 03:04:18 PM »
Try as I might to find a MC or scooter to fit her 4 ft 10 frame she only felt comfy on this little piece of throwback to the 1970's and what a hoot it is to ride!
2018 New Kymco 150 CC fuel injected single with 5 gears and a center stand for $3000 with 2 years warranty.  it is about as simple as can be to work on.    Just sold off our 2011 Kymco i300 Downtown scooter as it was too big for her but found out Kymco makes motors for other brands and we were sold on the reliability so this new UJM - ish Pit bike is hers.

*Now about my V7 to match in denim blue...  :^)

Nice! Being comfortable on a bike is imho a highly important, often overlooked aspect of buying a bike. Good for y’all!

KYMCO's are made in Taiwan, and they are of much higher quality than the average Chinese motorcycle, but the Chinese motorcycle manufacturers are getting better, and then are learning quickly....   :thumb:

Like this cool dual sport 250cc one from SSR Motorsports (Shanghai).  Good bang for the buck!! :thumb: :thumb:

"KYMCO's are made in Taiwan,"  Y'ep.  Bad Chad has a CCR dual sport and says the bike is not "chinese crap".  I built my Recon w/HD engine in AZ because I didn't want "American crap".  I assembled it from parts that I bought separately in the Phoenix area.

I tried to use non-AMF parts.  Started with a new Shovelhead engine.  Took a 1 1/2yr. to build it.  Had to get parts per paycheck.  Suicide tank shift, 45 tanks, kick start because the AMF electric start died.  That barely lasted a year.  The Lectron carb was crap.  The American electronic ignition last 3 hours.  I retro-fitted back to points.  I ended up putting on a Mikuni carb.  Titled in Hawaii as a Au Reconstruct.

I'm okay with people posting stuff like that.  As long as it's a 2 way street.  Usually doesn't work that way.  Thanks.
